Srinagar, Dec 16 (KNO): The families of two Srinagar youth who are missing since past two days Wednesday appealed the duo to return for the sake of their parents. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), two friends identified as Irfan Ahmad Sofi, son of Nazir Ahmad Sofi and Bilal Manzoor, son of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat—both residents of Natipora Srinagar are missing from December 14 evening following which the families have approached the police station where they filed a missing report in this regard. The families told KNO that the duo went missing on December 14 evening while their mobile phones are also switched off. Irfan’s father said that his only son was a driver by profession, who left home in the afternoon and informed that ‘he will be back soon.’ However, repeated attempts to contact his son failed as his phone remained switched off. Nazir Ahmad further stated that his son used to sit in Masjid till late evening, but on December 14, he didn’t return home and has been missing since then. Similarly, father of Bilal, Maznoor Ahmad said that they have approached the concerned Police Station and filed a missing report there, adding that police have been making efforts to find his son. “We appeal our son to return home for your mother and me,” he said. The families later appealed to the concerned authorities to help them in tracing their beloved to bring them back to their homes. A police officer at Chanapora police post, Owais Geelani when contacted told KNO that a missing report has been filed while call details of the duo has been sought. “Once the details are available, the further investigation will be conducted,” he said—(KNO)
